Why do we need you to make the purchase first?

We understand your concerns — you may worry that we won’t refund your money after you make the purchase, or that you might be scammed. We hope this article helps clear up any doubts so you can feel confident about getting your free toy.

First, you should understand this clearly: regardless of whether you choose to purchase or not, your transaction will always go through Amazon, not us. That means once you make the payment, you’re guaranteed to receive the corresponding toy.

For our partner sellers, a 5-star review is far more valuable than a single sale. That’s exactly why we always make the refund — if we were to cheat or break our promise, you could easily leave a 1-star review, which would cost the seller much more than a few dozen dollars. In fact, getting Amazon to remove a negative review can cost over a hundred dollars. Just based on that alone, there’s no reason to worry about not receiving your refund.

If you still have doubts, below are some examples of how we’ve been scammed in the past — and this is exactly why we now ask buyers to place the order first. Unfortunately, after being taken advantage of multiple times, we had to change our process.

Case 1:
One user reached out asking for a free toy and claimed that his PayPal was not working. We provided him with a virtual card that could only be used on Amazon, but unfortunately, he blocked us afterward and scammed us out of $20.

Case 2:
One customer wanted to get a free toy, so we paid half of the cost upfront to the PayPal account she provided. Unfortunately, she never replied to our emails again, and we ended up being scammed out of $15.

Case 3:
Similarly, a user asked for a free toy and claimed he had forgotten his PayPal password. We provided him with a virtual card for the equivalent amount to use on Amazon. Sadly, he then blocked us, resulting in a $40 loss for us.

Because of these repeated scams, we had no choice but to change our process to a purchase-first, refund-later model.
